The Majority of Power Generation in Ontario is from Nuclear Sources

Nuclear power has two major benefits — low operating costs and virtually none of the emissions that create smog, acid rain or global warming. These factors make nuclear power a very attractive option for meeting the province's electricity needs well into the future.

CNA Nuclear Factbook 2019

The Darlilngton Nuclear Generating Station meets about 20 percent of Ontario's nuclear needs. The current refurbishment of the generating station will ensure that the growing demand for power in Ontario is easily met for many decades to come.
